Gold Choice Booking is an appointment booking service run by Gold Choice Tech. Small businesses (nail studios, barbers, sheitel machers and others) use it to take appointments. This policy covers the Gold Choice Booking website, the booking pages of the businesses that use it, and the texts and emails it sends.

What we collect

• From businesses: the business name and contact details, the names and emails of the people who log in, services, prices and hours.
• From customers who book: your name, mobile number, email if you give one, the appointments you book, and whether you agreed to receive texts (with the date and how you agreed). The business may also add its own notes about your appointments.
• Technical: a scrambled (hashed) form of your internet address, used only to stop abuse. Businesses that log in get one login cookie. There are no advertising or tracking cookies.

How we use it

We collect business and customer appointment data to run bookings: to show free times, to confirm, remind, move or cancel appointments, and to let the business see its calendar and its customers. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use it for advertising.

Text messages

• Texts are sent only for appointments the customer booked: a confirmation, reminders, and notices if the appointment is moved or cancelled. Message frequency varies.
• Texts are sent only to customers who agreed to receive them.
• Mobile numbers and texting consent are never shared with or sold to third parties for marketing.
• Reply STOP to any text to stop receiving texts. Reply HELP for help. Message and data rates may apply.

Who else sees it

• The business you booked with sees your booking and your details. Each business sees only its own customers.
• Companies that help us run the service: our hosting and database provider (Cloudflare), the company that delivers our text messages, and the company that delivers our emails. They handle the data only to provide that service to us.
• We may share information if the law requires it.

Keeping and deleting your data

Appointment records are kept while the business uses Gold Choice Booking, so it has your history. You can ask the business you booked with, or us, to delete your information, and we will delete it unless the law requires us to keep it. A business that stops using Gold Choice Booking can ask us to delete all of its data.

Security

Passwords are stored scrambled, never in plain text. All pages use an encrypted connection (https). Each business can only open its own data.

Children

Gold Choice Booking is not meant for children under 13 to use on their own.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update it on this page and change the date at the top.
